Mechanical spinning top toy with coil, similar to Yula, old toy from soviet union, only this one doesn't whistle. It has ten 3D printed parts and for better rotation you can screw twelve M10 nuts to the "skirt" (7), the biggest part of the toy.
I 3D printed it from PLA. You can add color change at 10.2 mm layer height for the "skirt", then the spiral will be in different color, you don't have to color it by hand.

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/geReOCHCWkg"></oembed>

In video I am talking about 3 lengths, the middle one is uploaded to printables. But if you want longer or shorter version, you can download it from mytechfun website:
http://www.mytechfun.com/video/25
On the same page you can download the mini spinning top, for rotating with your fingers (also mentioned in the video).
I recommend first two parts to print (3), (5) and test. Those are main parts of the toy, they should go easly into each other. If not use some sandpaper on the edge of the coil (see the video). There is 0.2mm designed gap between them.
The longest print will be the skirt, but I designed other parts to be separated, so if there is any problem with nut, coil or clutch (for example broke after long usage), they can be printed separatly as relative small peaces.
I printed everything with 0.15mm layer height EXCEPT the toptoy_skirt.stl, this has to be printed with 0.2mm and add color change at 10.2 mm to get spiral colored.
Have fun!
