Inspired by: http://www.instructables.com/id/Spiaral-model-widget/ How does the machinery work? It's a very simple yet interesting device. The main part of the machinery is a crank which makes a cogwheel turn when put in movement. There is a small, metal ball hidden in a cog. After it's transported to the highest possible point it falls from the cog and runs down the spiral path to face its place in the cog. As long as the device is in movement the whole process repeats. INSTRUCTIONS: Placing a ball in one of the holes of the cogwheel. Putting the cogwheel in movement by circular movements. Wait for a while until the ball reaches the highest point. The ball falls out of the cogwheel, rund down the spiral path. Print Settings Printer: GATE Notes: The spiral is made of special, flexible plywood. It's of an utmost importance to make clear that all wooden pieces are well-polished. Custom Section
