Spirit of 76-v2 Scratch-built Level 1 Certification Attempt Model Rocket (2022) This is a scratch-built rocket incorporating mass amounts of 3D printing based on a 3" mailing tube easily found at stores like Office Depot, Staples, Walmart, Sach's 5th Avenue, etc. These parts are for the heart of the vehicle; the 2 parts to the 38mm motor mount and a specially-built retainer to fit the Aerotech DMS, 38-mm single-use H and I series motors. As of this writing, I am including part 1 (aft) of 2 motor mounts as well as the 38mm motor retainer. The retainer takes 4 M5 x 80mm-long machine screws and associated flat washers. In the aft (Part 1) motor mount are 4 M5 blind nuts to attach those machine screws to. The machine screws are long at 80mm. The motor mount is alignment-slotted for four 1/4" plywood fins with a 2mm chamfer for epoxy on both sides of the slot. The fins planned for this airframe has a root length of 100mm. Part 2 of 2 motor mount is being designed as I write and an improved nose cone will follow soon.
