Split Joycon Grips for Nintendo Switch (removable)

Split Joycon Grips for Nintendo Switch (removable)

There are lots of grips for the Nintendo Switch, but not a lot that attach solely to the joycons and support split grip mode (ie the BEST way to play Mario Odyssey). I love split grip mode, and the design of the joycons, but I have big hands and after a while my thumb starts to really cramp up. As such I decided to make some split grip compatible joycon grips. These attach directly to the Joycon itself, simply unscrew three of the screws from the back of your joycon (tri-wing screwdriver required) and replace with some slightly longer ones (I'm using 1.4mm x 10mm screws). Voila! Grips that work both in handheld mode and split grip mode. You can even still connect the two joycons together using one of the various rails on Thingiverse The stalks are slightly longer and wider than the stock dual joycon grip, more equivalent to the PS4. Currently tweaking a version that completely replaces the rear panel of the joycons for those that want a more permanent 'non-removable' version.
