Split Strap Adjuster

Split Strap Adjuster

The strap adjuster broke on a backpack. But the strap that was attached to the adjuster had a loop sewn into it which permanently attached it to the adjuster buckle. So we split this into two parts and added pins and pin-holes for strength. Now it slides into the permanent loop on the strap and the 2 pieces are super glued together! Works great! Clean the pins carefully after printing. The tolerances are fairly tight between the pins and the receiving pin-holes. I test printed this and adjusted the model file until I got it to fit just right! The photos show the two separate parts as well as the assembled piece. I left a small gap in the photo of the assembled piece to show how it's sliding together. It can be pushed tight together so there is no gap. Use glue on the pins and mating surfaces. When assembled and glued it is very strong. If you print this with the parts standing on end you will not need supports. Model has brim, no raft. This is based on the strap adjuster created by Fishbone here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1777669
