Split Test
thingiverse
I designed this model to assess layer-to-layer adhesion in prints, enabling users to experiment with various print settings and achieve optimal layer adhesion results. This standardized test focuses on the middle layers of a print when it is pulled apart, allowing for the measurement of layer bond strength without considering filament mechanical properties. This test specifically targets layer adhesion, not material strength. A video demonstrating how I use this part to evaluate layer adhesion can be found at https://youtu.be/93LJui-pC2Q. As a standard print, I now run it whenever I introduce a new filament. The following settings are applied: * No infill * No supports * 2 perimeters * Enjoy! Print Settings: * Printer Brand: Ultimaker * Printer Model: Ultimaker Original * Rafts: Not necessary * Supports: None * Resolution: Layer thickness ranging from 0.1 to 1.1 * Notes: Use only two perimeters for optimal results.
