Spool clamp

Spool clamp

This is a simple spool clamp with a built in knob instead of relying on a wing nut. I use these daily as a luthier, especially on violins but they can be used for almost anything. The 1/4"x20 hex nut should be glued in with cyanoacrylate if possible. For the clamp pads I used leather and many use cork. There is a file included to make a pad out of TPU as well. the pads were glued on with contact adhesive. For this print I used a 5" 14"x20 carriage bolt, I have found that their ends are usually not evenly round and often do not countersink well. This will not effect the clamps usability but I chose to heat the end of the bolt and press it into the recess.
