Spool Holder

thingiverse

This is a custom-designed spool holder intended to be securely attached to any surface using screws. To complete this project, in addition to the printed parts provided, the following components are required: 688z bearings - 2 for each wheel - Since four wheels are needed to support one spool, a total of eight bearings per mounted spool will be necessary. M8 Bolts - two per stand - A suggested length of 40mm is recommended, with an option for smooth shafts for free running or fully threaded bolts for added resistance. M8 Nuts - one for each bolt used. When assembling the spool holder, ensure that the bolts are not over-tightened, allowing a slight gap between the uprights and wheels to enable smooth rotation. The accompanying files contain a layout of parts sufficient to create a stand for one spool. Separate files for individual components can be downloaded if preferred. If choosing this option, four uprights, four mounts, and four wheels will be required to support one spool. Optional components include screws for mounting the stands to any surface, with the type of screw dependent on the surface material. Additionally, glue may be used to secure the stands in place on the mounts, ensuring a friction fit or using an adhesive suitable for the printed material.
