Spool Holder Support for Enclosure
thingiverse
To give my spool holder a fresh new home, I needed to relocate the existing https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1832235 from MartinMajewski on https://www.thingiverse.com/ and bring it outside of my enclosure for better accessibility. The challenge was to design a mount with identical dimensions as the Prusa MK2S frame so that I could seamlessly integrate my spool holder onto my Lack enclosure. I chose to print the support bar in ABS at 0.2mm layers with 30% infill, ensuring maximum strength and durability for the structure. To simplify the assembly process, I decided not to print the entire piece as one unit with supports. Instead, I opted to bolt the support bar to the legs using 4 x M4 x 12mm bolts, making it easy to assemble and disassemble when needed. The printing requirements were straightforward: just one bar and two legs were needed to complete the project. This was my first project, and I'm excited to see if others will find it useful in their own endeavors.
