Spool Roller for Folger Tech 2020 i3

I designed these to sit on top of a Folger Tech 2020 Prusa i3 printer, but it would probably work with any 2020 frame printer. It has been tested with spools 8.5 inches diameter down to 4.5 inches diameter. You can just drop the spool in the mount and feed the filament into the extruder, and you are ready to go. No fiddling with spindles, shafts, hubs or axles. It just sits securely cradled in the rollers, and rolls freely. They are designed to slide left and right to accommodate different spool widths. The 2020 insert does not lock in place like a T-Nut. It will just keep it from tipping over or coming off. Put the insert into the 2020 slot and then slide it into the slot on the spool bracket mount.. Put in a 10mm M3 machine screw to hold it against the bracket, and the whole assembly should all slide freely left and right in the 2020 slot, while still remaining perfectly vertical and securely attached. You only need one insert, at the front. There are two slots so the left and right brackets can be identical. The inner bracket fits into the slot on the base of the outer bracket for added strength and stability. You will need to print two full sets, one for each side. They are identical, so no mirroring is required. I've added a plated set that will print both sides in one print. The bearings are just common 608ZZ bearings. You will need two M3 machine screws 20mm or longer, and two M3 nuts to put it all together, plus the M3x10 for the 2020 insert. It works well with with my Filament Guide and Filter which is what you see in the photos between the brackets. Update 3/23/2016 Updated STL files to Version 5. It is slightly less tall, and with openings in the main bracket reducing the filament necessary when printing, without any loss of strength. Because it is slightly shorter, you will need to reprint both the inner and main brackets. There are now three versions of the main bracket, solid, with round cutouts, and with a more open cutout pattern. Any of the three will work with the same inner bracket. All files are now rotated into the best orientation for printing. I also added a plated set that will let you print everything for both sides at the same time. Print Settings Printer: Folger Tech 2020 Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: I used 30% infill for strength.
