thingiverse
A simple design for a spool winder or holder.
i use this to wind empty spools from larger ones, or to split colours between 2x printers.
Print 2x of these and you will need
1x long M8 bolt or threaded rod - at least 100mm long,
1x M8 nyloc (13mm)
2x penny washers
2x standard M8 Nuts
1x M8 Wingnut.
Assemble the bolt/nyloc on the threaded bar and push through the first printed cone. ensure on the threaded bar there is enough rod sticking out to go into the chuck of the drill.
slide on a washer and use a normal nut to tighten the cone onto the bar/bolt.
Insert the 2nd M8 nut into the back of the 2nd cone and then it will thread onto the bar once a spool is on, then fit the last washer and the wingnut to lock it all together.
