Spouts

Spouts

thingiverse

This is the most geometrically complex part I have designed so far. I got the idea from an architect who wanted to design a building that used some spout-like parts on a building in Germany. There were 2 challenging aspects to using that idea in something that was 3D printable: arranging the spouts on the base surface, and finding a way to fillet the joints between the spouts and the base surface. Here is a 34 sec. video of the finished print: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1wprXJhPLOVR7iC_i74OyZfFbHWSOVYcv Although this part is useless it is still interesting and it does present a good test of a printer's ability to produce smooth surfaces and no stringing. It printed in 23 hours using a print speed of 80 mm/sec and a layer height of 0.200 mm.
