This is a modified carriage to use a 8-32 screw. I have also included some 3D printable thumb screws that will fit an ordinary 8-32 screw. They will need to be tapped with an 8-32 tap. I would also recommend that thread lock or CA glue be used to make sure the thumb screws stay put on the screws. I also made some reinforcement plates for the spring retainer area of the carriage, these should be glued on with CA glue and may help prevent the print from splitting from the force of the spring. I have not tested them yet but I would only glue them on after the spring and retainer are installed.
