Spring Rod Holder

Spring Rod Holder

There was a Pintrest post that had a spring rod holding several cleaner bottles in the cabinet, so of course we had to try it out, but low and behold, you put 2 full bottles of Windex on the rod and it falls immediately, no matter how much tension you put on it. So the lady of the house takes the rod, throws it at me and says "make a thing that holds this thing up to hold the other things." So, I went to my handy dandy thing maker, made a thing, failed (because I forgot to zero my calipers again), made two more things, and came up with this thing. Now it's holding a huge array of cleaner bottles, with room to spare, and the cabinet is more organized and the lady is more happy-inized. Score one for the thing maker. Print 2 of the side holders and one middle. I designed this thing to use 4 #8x1.25" multi-purpose screws, since that's what I had in front of me at the time. The Middle piece is held in place by red VHB tape, since I didn't have screws on hand small enough for the job. I also recommend to add more infill near the end of the middle piece where its thinner for the rod, just to give it that much more strength. Even if its over kill, it prevents the inevitable scream up the stairs for me to fix.
