Spring Spacer
thingiverse
This adjustable spacer is designed to fit a variety of hole sizes, perfectly suited for applications requiring versatility. The spiral arms act as sturdy springs that securely hold the spacer firmly in place, while the tapered pins and large stopper tabs ensure easy installation and removal from the filament spool. The central opening is sized to accommodate a 5/8" wooden dowel with ease. The example provided was printed using 0.2mm layer settings. I'd be more than happy to post modified designs accommodating specific dimensions for axle size and spool hole diameter, please feel free to post your requirements in the comments section. Instructions Created in Google Sketchup, processed using Slic3r, and printed on a Printrbot Simple Metal with an Octopi interface.
