Spring Spacer

This spacer is designed to fit a range of hole sizes. The spiral shaped arms act as springs to hold the spacer firmly in place while the tapered pins and large stopper tabs make it easy to fit and remove from the filament spool. The center hole is sized to fit on a 5/8" wooden dowel. The example shown was printed with 0.2mm layers. I'd be happy to post variations on this design if other dimensions are required. Please post a comment with the diameter required for the axel size and spool hole size. Instructions Designed in google sketchup, sliced using Slic3r and printed on a Printrbot Simple Metal via an Octopi.
