These Destroyers are very detailed and built near to scale for an accurate representation of the original object. It looks very realistic and renders nicely without any special render software. The first in class was commissioned in 1975 and the class served for three decades before being replaced. When they began to age they were decommissioned and not upgraded in favor of the newer Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers. The last Spruance was decommissioned in 2005.
