Squirrel Feeder

Squirrel Feeder

thingiverse

This is a bird / squirrel feeder. The design was done to discourage squirrels but, it didn't work out that way. Instead it is a fun way to watch the squirrels face the challenge to obtain a nut from the cup without being knocked off by the ball bearing rotating mechanism. You will need a RS608 bearing like most likely you have from building your 3D printer. If not you can get them on Amazon for a few bucks. You also need a 3mm screw and a washer to secure the peanut butter housing to the tree mount. I fastened mine to the tree with a bungee cord. Supports are needed for the peanut butter cup which is removable. This design includes a mount for a WYZE motion sensor which alerts me when the squirrel pokes his head into the cup to grab a nut. I fill it with almonds and peanuts or a mix of peanut butter and seeds.
