Squirrelicane Ornament / Fidget toy.

Here is an ornament/fidget toy version of my combat robot "Squirrelicane". It takes 3 m3 x 8mm screws, and about 30 6mm airsoft bb's to assemble. (airsoft bb's are actually pretty awesome bearings for combat robots... give it a try with this ornament if you don't believe me) Durring assembly, I would strongly suggest that you have a tub, box, or other containment system in place... you drop the chassis in the bottom half of the ring and then stuff as many bb's in the race as you can. there should be a small gap... I think it's around 30 of them. then stick the top half of the ring on. I used some little 1" spring clamps that I got from Harbor Freight (and Lowes, and Home Depot)... I pick them up whenever I find them cheap... about a buck for 10 of them) ... then I flipped the ornament over and put in the 3 screws. They self-thread into the plastic... pretty easy and fun to play with. Link to the cheap airsoft BBs I use for bearings... no idea how well they work for airsoft stuff, but they are nice and light weight for combat robots... 10,000 of them are about $16... I've been really careful, but I do have a rogue bb somewhere in my office still... it's probably hanging out with the enhanced sear spring from my sub2000 or that microSD card I dropped last fall. https://www.amazon.com/Crosman-10000-Count-Airsoft-Ammo/dp/B0048970A2?keywords=airsoft+bbs&qid=1673687064&sr=8-9&linkCode=sl1&tag=macrobot01-20&linkId=50d0264757b5af1efbd19f984cd45b5d&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl Link to clamps on Amazon... they only sell them in lots of 100, and they are $0.18 each... not as good as finding them on sale, but definitely worth it still: https://www.amazon.com/Crosman-10000-Count-Airsoft-Ammo/dp/B0048970A2?keywords=airsoft+bbs&qid=1673687064&sr=8-9&linkCode=sl1&tag=macrobot01-20&linkId=50d0264757b5af1efbd19f984cd45b5d&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl (As always, links are associate and help support MACRObot.US, a STEM organization that promotes engineering and iterative design through combat robotics)
