Use this to adapt a 44mm, 12 spline bottom bracket socket tool (such as Park Tool BBT-79) to a 48.5mm bottom bracket. I already owned a BBT-79, but when I replaced my SRAM DUB BB with something nicer (the Wheels Manufacturing BB-BSA29-BB) I didn't want to buy yet another BB socket. So, this is a replacement for the Park Tool BBT-27.2 Was able to torque to 38 ft/lbs successfully with no failure or visible wear. This should fit other 16 spline, 48.5-49.3 mm bottom brackets as well, such as FSA MegaEvo, Wheels PF30, and more.
