After 5 years of testing and many modifications, this is likely the final version.

We have fixed all previous points of breakage, minimized material usage, and added/adjusted all the screw holes to fit the same as any standard 3.5" HDD would. There are pins to allow you to snap-in an SSD without needing screws, but there are also 4 screw holes underneath for mounting a standard laptop HDD as well.

The SATA connector itself will be offset approx. 3mm due to the necessary railing thickness, so it WILL NOT work with slot load systems. However, it's far closer than most of the commercial and printed versions available, so it should work in systems with cabling constraints.

If you find any problems with the model, please let us know and we will attempt to fix them within reason.

DISCLAIMER:

We are providing these models at no charge in an attempt to help our customers and fellow repair technicians. They have been tested for functionality and stability within our shop, but your mileage may vary depending on how they are printed and used. Therefore, we cannot be held responsible for any failures or loss due to using our models.

Although they have been uploaded with a non-commercial license, we give permission to use them for personal use and for repairs, even when you are charging for labor. We do not give permission for our models, or prints of our models, to be sold as a product themselves.
