I remixed my own design to add a bit more stability to the testing board. I found that while the previous design printed fine, it was a little too flexible so I added more legs and increased rigidity. It's still not as good as, say, one of those acrylic panels you can buy, but it's pretty easy to print these and it gives you a good enough idea about what a mechanical keyboard switch is going to feel like.

Now the only downside here is this one takes a lot longer to print, but the outcome is worth the wait and it's still faster than having something shipped to you.

BONUS: I also included a version in which there aren't individual legs, but just an extruded grid. This one takes longer to print still, but would be pretty stout I'd imagine.

Print instructions

Same as before, print upside down for best effect, print any other way you want for maximum excitement.

I'm using up some spool remnants hence the two tone. Which in retrospect, is really quite fetching. I may have to do more of this.
