Stackable Icecube Tray
thingiverse
An Icecube Tray with Stackable Design. To save space, print multiple trays and stack them on top of one another. Fill the first one, and fluid will flow through an overflow drain into the next tray. Ensure each subsequent tray is rotated by 90 or 180 degrees to avoid drains aligning and causing spillage. A total of approximately 38m of PLA filament was used at a 100% infill rate for watertightness. The design was created in Catia V5. Upon freezing the ice, some users encountered difficulty removing it from the mold due to increased surface area caused by the 3D printer's imperfect finish. To optimize this, consider sanding down the walls for a smoother surface. Share your experiences below in the comments. An update has been made with Version 2, which features straight edges at the bottom and a thinner base layer. This results in reduced filament usage (29m) while maintaining functionality.
