Stacking box

Think outside the box, for too many boxes can be a hindrance. Print your own stacking boxes to keep your items organized, whether they're screws, nuts, bolts, toys or miscellaneous objects. Just as our Candy Bowl was designed for testing 3D-prints with large-bore nozzles, this box is specifically created for the same purpose. The result is a semi-transparent box 3D-printed at 0.8mm layer height with a 1.0 mm nozzle. Although it's possible to print this box at higher speeds, we kept it slow to achieve a high-gloss shiny surface and better overall quality. This can be seen in the two attached pictures, where the lower part was printed faster than the top part. Not only will the result have improved transparency but also better print quality since plastic can be extruded and cooled down at a slower rate with larger nozzle sizes. The outer dimensions of the box are 120x120x80mm. Printing it took less than two hours at around 20-30 mm/s. We kept the geometry simple to make it easy to print, using vase-mode in our print settings to eliminate layer-change zipper lines. To achieve strength and optimal transparency, we 3D-printed the candy bowl using taulman 3D t-glase (PETT) filament.
