I needed to design a post to mount a raspberry pi to a 3D printed part. I took the dimensions of the Unified Thread Standard and created posts with a pocket for testing different size bolts. PLA is soft enough that you can screw a bolt in with out threading it. The dimensions can be found at http://www.votawtool.com/product_help/Thread_Sizes.asp.
