Myford T-Slot Filler Strips

Myford T-Slot Filler Strips

These are four types of t-slot filler strips I created for the Myford ML7 lathe, and will also work on the Super 7. I believe they will also work on the ML10. Their purpose is to keep the t-slots free of swarf and dirt. Each filler strip is either single or double ended (one or two piloted holes) for #10 or 4mm set screws, to keep them from sliding out of the t-slot. If printed with more than 3 shells, or at 100% infill, the holes can be tap-drilled for even larger set screws. Included are a single ended and double ended for the ML7 (3.490" long), 100mm single ended, and 100mm double ended. 100mm strips will fit the milling table. The double ended strips are designed to be cut in the middle, to account for t-slot nuts. An X-ACTO saw makes short work of cutting them to any desired length. Photos also attached showing the filler strips in my ML7, with the top slide both removed and installed. As can been seen, all set screw holes are accessible for easy installation/removal, without having to disturb the top slide.
