Yes, another cookie cutter. One of my first experiments with openscad. This script takes a shape like a thumbtack and moves it along a generated 2d star shaped pattern, thus creating a cookie cutter. Number of points, inner diameter, and outer diameter are adjustable. Possibly a good example of moving a shape along a path (via the minkowski command). Instructions In general this works well. For large cutters, I found the script would not render unless I played with the inner diameter (use a ratio like .49 instead of .5 for example.) I think it has to do with the rotation not being precise enough. But good enough for cookies (or chocolate, or cheese...) Update: Based on feedback, I've added a outer_curve_radius parameter. See the penta-rounded example. This should keep the points from burning (Thanks Vic!) Other minor changes.
