SlappyWhite's design was great (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4259744); but, as he noted, it's a monster, requiring about 2kg of filament to print. That was not an option for me - my wife was telling me that I was going to start needing to drive Uber to finance my filament habit. So, I remixed SlappyWhite's design to use less filament. I put grids into walls that needed to hold components, but not be watertight. For longer components, like space lanes and cards, I removed much of the side walls, since you really just need a lip at each end to keep the component in. It probably doesn't look as good as Slappy White's, but it still works. I only uploaded STL files for the parts that I changed. See Slappy White's thing for the other files. Here are the changes I made: CARD TRAY * Removed parts of the sides and bottom * Added some grids * Original filament requirement: 95 g * New filament requirement: 58 g BORG TRAY * Added grids to sides and bottom * Original filament requirement: 64 g * New filament requirement: 40 g RACE TRAYS * Lowered the inside dividers to that I could put Advancement Cards, Trade Agreements, Fleet Cards and Phase Card in with the other bits. That also means I didn't need to print the advancement tray. I just put some foam in that spot in the box. * Added grids to sides and bottom * Original filament requirement: 71 g (X7 if you have all of the expansions!) * New filament requirement: 43 g COMPONENT TRAY * Added grids to sides and bottom * Original filament requirement: 64 g * New filament requirement: 133 g EXPLORATION TRAY * Removed parts of the sides and bottom * Original filament requirement: 95 g * New filament requirement: 68 g PLANET TRAY * Added grids to side and bottom * Made grab slots on the ends * This one messed up a little bit on my printer near the slot near the bottom on the side, but it still was funtionals * Original filament requirement: 108 g * New filament requirement: 60 g SPACE LANE TRAYS * Removed parts of the sides * Original filament requirement: 101 g * New filament requirement: 66 g
