Star Trek First Contact Phoenix Warp Ship

This is my Star Trek First Contact Phoenix model! As desiigned its about 1/32 scale, fully assembled it comes in at about 400mm long, 200mm wide (with warp engines extended), and around 80mm tall. Weighs around 600gm, and will take around 30 hours to print in resin depending how you arrange the parts. Though that’s based on the print speed of my printer, yours may vary a bit. The parts are designed to be printed on a medium sized resin printer such as an Elegoo Saturn, or Anycubic Mono X. The tallest part is the main body at 194mm, so be sure your printer can handle that if printing it upright, otherwise it will need to be split. The ship has loads of space inside to run wires, and is designed to be lit. There are LED mounts for the front and rear of the warp engines, and rear main engine. These use a mix of 3 and 5mm LEDs. I would also suggest using some adhesive LED strip for the inside of the warp engines. Inside opposite the clear part the surface is flat for that reason. There are two options for the arms of the warp engines, a fixed rigid arm, and a multi-part moveable arm which allows the arm to move from the stowed to deployed position. However if you use the movable arms, be sure to print in a strong resin, as the engine weight will likely cause them to twist since the weight is offset from the mount point. The fixed arms will be much stronger, and have a hole through them allowing you to insert a 3mm brass or aluminium tube into them for strength. You should also be able to run several 30AWG wires through it. A cockpit is included, though is optional, there are two options for the nose so it can be printed with solid windows, or open. If you use the solid windows you can skip the cockpit. The cockpit parts have some holes underneath for wiring, and LEDs could be installed to backlight the control pabels if you print them in clear resin. The cockpit window can be printed in clear (though it’ll need polishing to become transparent), however you could also just use a thin piece of clear plastic sheet for the windows instead.
