Star Trek themed Catan Pieces - for 3D printed board

thingiverse

I wanted to make some Star Trek themed Catan game pieces to match my a 3D printed magnetic snap-together game board. I remixed existing components from others (thanks original creators!) in the following ways: Settlements/cities: modified base platform to fit the board size (15mm dia), which is also more stable. The idea is to glue together the bottom three base pieces to form a single settlement piece. This means no supports are needed for printing.Check out the original by danielcapua for an assembly pic. Add the large round disc to the top in-game to upgrade it to a city. Roads: I used an existing latinum bar model from newdominion to make a correctly-sized road piece (a little under 32mm). Your streets will be paved with gold . . . analog. Seafarers expansion ships: I started with danielcapua's enterprise pieces and made a new base sized to fit the board. Crossings: I like having these round pieces that connect roads where no settlement or city is placed. They aren't necessary, but they help round out the board visually. These came from an existing Starfleet logo by f16v1per.
