Link to improved version

A replica of the Chimaera, flagship of grand admiral Thrawn.

This is mostly based on its depiction in Rebels. Its an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer with octuple-barrel-turbolasers (although you can barely see them on the print) and a stylized chimaera engraved on its hull. The biggest changes are that I went with a standard ISD I (and not the one with the tall bridge tower from Rebels) and added the engraving to the dorsal hull too.

Also includes a small stand with "Chimaera" written on it.

The pictures show an older version of the model. In the new one, the hangar is moved a bit more towards the front so that it does not intersect as badly with the engraving.

Print instructions

Scale is at 1:1,000. Unless you want a 1.6m long print, you should probably scale it down first. I printed mine at 1:10,000 scale.

Rotate by -90° along the x-Axis so that the engines point towards the buildplate. Needs supports.

The file "print_sw_isd_chimaera" includes the base model.

The engraving comes in seperate parts, named "print_sw_isd_chimaera_emblem_xxx". They are seperated by the different surfaces on the hull. You have to add these to the base mesh before slicing. Parts 000-009 are on the dorsal hull, 010-012 on the ventral hull.
