Star Wars Twin Suns Squadron Unit Patch Coaster

Star Wars Twin Suns Squadron Unit Patch Coaster

myminifactory

I have, as you can see in my library, made several other unit patch coasters for Star Wars fighter squadrons, both Rebel/New Republic and Imperial, but this one is... a little different. This latest coaster is entirely my own design, mainly because I've never found anyone else who's made one! For those who don't read the Star Wars Extended Universe novels (and instead choose to defile your eyes watching the Disney abominations), Twin Suns Squadron was founded by Luke Skywalker during the Yuuzhan Vong War as an all-Jedi X-Wing squadron, staging from the secret Jedi base of Eclipse in the Deep Core. Named, of course, after his home planet of Tatooine and its twin suns, Luke eventually handed command of the squadron over to Jaina Solo during the siege of Borleias. After Borleias fell Twin Suns Squadron fell under the command of Admiral Kre'fay and was based aboard the Bothan Assault Cruiser Ralroost for the remainder of the war. I really wanted to do another Star Wars unit patch coaster, they're so much fun to make and really hit my Geek-spot, but I never read in any of the books any descriptions of what the patch looked like, so I decided to design one myself. The result is one I'm really quite pleased with; it shows the squadron of 12 X-Wings silouhetted against the twin suns of Tattooine, superimposed on the Jedi crest to symbolise the Jedi foundation of the squadron.  So now you can enjoy it too! If you'd like one of these coasters and don't want to print it for yourself (I'll warn you, it's a fiddly little bugger to assemble), you're welcome to order one fully assembled from my Etsy store - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/enterprisexddesign
