Starfighter SAR-8 Nebulahawk

Starfighter SAR-8 Nebulahawk

Originally developed as a demilitarized search-and-rescue variant of the Corsairhawk bomber, the Nebulahawk was quickly pressed into military service. The bulky ship was initially intended to operate as a rescue ship for ejected pilots or rescuing crews from larger vessels which had been disabled. However, the spacious interior and excellent forward hatchway with integrated cutting tool quickly saw the SAR-8 adopted as a Marine boarding craft. After the outer rim conflicts waned, the militarized SAR-8s were sold off. Intended customers were planetary law enforcement and rescue forces, but over time it was discovered that the vast majority of SAR-8s were flying under the skull and crossbones, as they made superb pirate ships.
