Stars for Christmas Decoration - LED light

This Christmas decoration star is illuminated with an LED strip. I designed it to have a nice advent decoration with functions also as an ambience light. His modification is wonderful. https://youtu.be/lkWRz-czdd0 Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: The parts are designed to print with a extrusion width of 0.4mm. Why this is important i explain in the video. But for short, it is because of the vertical wall thickness is 0.8mm. Some slicers like Sli3r need a extrusion width settings of 0.44mm to get perimeters with 0.4mm width. Post-Printing The Stars you have to print. Then you need some 10mm wide and 74mm long LED-stripes. For isolation some shrink tubing is recommended. How I Designed This Main design features I like to bring up the following design features: The Wall thickness is optimized to give a uniform light distribution The two half of the star mount without any additional connecting element There are two ways to mount the star (#1 to a 5mm rod or #2 to a wall) in both ways the groove has his function! The LED stripe form-fit to his position. Because glue will not hold enough over time. Again you can watch my YouTube Video where i explain it in German. Bad light distribution with the wrong wall thickness. Good light distribution when the extrusion width matches 0.5x the horizontal wall thickness.
