Your Sienna not starting? Starter just spinning not engaging the flywheel? The original Planetary Ring gear system in your starter motor is most likely the issue (teeth are stripped to bits) and cannot be purchased over the counter as a spare, one must purchase the entire starter which will set you back $75-$140 not to mention the core charge too. If you buy a used starter and you cold find yourself in the same situation you are in now. Fix what you have! :) Will work with DENSO 2800339, ACDELCO 3361752A and BOSCH SR3279X starter motor part numbers. Some alternate/OEM starter motor part number(s) this ring gear should fit in are 2800397, 281000A010, 281000H090, 281000H091, 4280001080, 88975515, 88864511 Anyway,the original part will most likely fail/strip over time due to normal wear and tear, temperature fluctuations and poor internal lubrication from the manufactures. This Ring Gear directly replaces the original inert in the starter, the 3 planet gears will fit perfectly with the Ring Gear (with a 0.1mm tolerance as it should). Don't forget the lube!
