First of all many thanks to entomophile for his original project. He pointed me on the right direction especially for using OpenSCAD to develop this remix. Here is the most advanced dart cup for blowgun all around. Being a blowgunner since my childhood I always made darts by myself. The most advanced cups were built by thermoforming method. Some months ago, when I bought my first FDM printer, I started to try to make cups by printing. Entomophile's one was a nice project were to start from... The main cons was the lack of robustness... but I also wanted to make my darts more precise and accurate. Adding vanes (that cross the cone's wall inside) and a neck that goes inside the base cone I could improve the following points: - cups are now much stronger (they don't break even on hard impacts). - setting vanes a bit smaller than blowgun caliber the darts stay aligned and concentric in the blowgun during the acceleration run (it's useful not only for the accuracy but also not to spoil the inside surface of your blowgun barrel when you use metal darts or hunting blades. - vanes stabilize your dart flight. - adding a twist to the vanes your dart will spin during its flight making the shot incredibly precise even with darts that are not exactly straight. The uploaded stl is for the Cold Steel 0.625 with bamboo sticks but you can customize your diameter and all the other parameters using the .scad file. I recommend calibers from 13mm to 17mm. I suggest you to print the cups upside down to have better accuracy on the last layer of the cup that is the most important one to fit exactly your blowpipe.
