Formerly a garden sculpture, this statue of Bacchus, the God of wine, once stood on the south pediment of Duff House, Banffshire. It is one of six classical gods in the collection, including Apollo, Minerva, Mars, Mercury and Luna. They were most likely made by Jan Van Nost the Younger in around 1740.
