This large statue of King Anlamani has a distinctive feature that his head is deocrated with ram horns. The statue originates from Napatan, during the reign of Anlamani in the early 7th Century BC. Anlamani was a king of Nubia or Kush who ruled from 620 BC and died around 600 BC. Under his reign, Kush experienced a revival in its power. Anlamani was the son of Senkamanisken, his predecessor, and the elder brother of Aspelta, his successor.Anlamani used titles based on those of the Egyptian pharaohs.   Photography and photogrammetry by Timothy Kendall, Bryan Whitney, Geoff Kornfeld, and Zhejiang University.
