SteadiCam Knob

SteadiCam Knob

thingiverse

Two of the plastic heads on some adjustment knobs on our SteadiCam have been broken off for a while, making it hard to tighten things down. Not having the pieces of the original, I jumped onto ShapeSmith and made up a quick replacement based on the other knobs - but sized to fit the hex bolts left behind when the factory knobs broke off. (Yeah, I could have printed them in black, but I already had brown filament loaded into my printer...) Instructions I made the inside opening and the post for the hex head just a little bit tight, so I could swab some acetone inside before using a vise to press-fit the bolts into place. Once they're in place and the acetone evaporates, they're not going anywhere.
