<p>Hi everyone,</p><p>I worked with the original creator of the charging cradle <a href="https://www.printables.com/social/110808-jordank/about">JordanK</a> (thanks again to him) to create a version that would fit the european charger with its europlug while maintaining the smallest footprint possible without the charger tilting within the cradle.&nbsp;</p><p><i>If you have the US charger version please take a look at the </i><a href="https://www.printables.com/model/162557-new-version-30-steamdeck-usb-c-charger-cradle-for-"><i>original US version</i></a><i>.</i></p><blockquote><p><strong>PLEASE NOTE:</strong><br>Fair warning: Due to the larger dimension of the europlug, the space for the cable narrows even further, resulting in a pretty tight fit. It probably is a little annoying if you want to retrieve and store the charger often. For longer stints or the occasional storage during travels, it is fine (YMMV). Additionally due to the larger dimensions of the europlug, the cradle will stick out of the Steam Deck case back pouch a tiny bit further than the US version but due to the uniform bottom face of the cradle, it is less ugly and more ergonomic than if the cable is just stuffed in the pouch without organization.<br><br>There are some mesh collisions since I did not correctly join the existing meshes in the original model. Most slicers probably wont't have issues, but some might interpret them as colliding geometry. I might add a remeshed version along the road if I find a good way to do it.</p></blockquote><p>I did my print with the following settings*:<br><br>PRUSA Mini+<br>0.4mm nozzle<br>0.2mm SPEED profile<br>PLA<br>no supports<br>15% infill</p><p><strong>Tips for cable storage:</strong><br>The cable is easiest to store if you either preroll it tightly, or if you tuck the windings below the strain relieve part of the cable which neatly holds it in place. The lid for this EU version has even more headroom than the XL version of the original cradle, in order for it to be flush with the charger case. This means that the cable does not need to be fully tucked into the main body compartment in order for the lid to close which gives a little more leeway.</p><p><strong>Potential for material savings:</strong><br>During prototyping I have printed the cradle with less infill (down to 10%) and less solid top layers (4 down from 6 in the normal Speed settings) and it still seemed sturdy enough for its purpose. So this might be a way to shave some grams of polymer of the BOM.</p><p><strong>Regarding the micro SD holder:</strong><br><i>Based on community feedback it seems that in most print configurations the SD holder is too small to comfortably fit the SD cards. So as it currently stands I regard this feature as unfit for purpose as is. It might work but probably wont, YMMV.</i><br>&gt;&gt;Depending on the tolerances of your print and the materials used, the internal SD card holder can be a little bit stiff. If available to you, wear in the slots using a dummy micro SD card (that sometimes comes with readers or mobile phones) or use a small knife to remove any layer-line ridges or other protrusions. If your card gets stuck, I find it is easiest to apply slight pressure towards the outer wall of the cradle and sliding the card upwards.</p><p><i><strong>If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask.
