**Updated 11/21/21 - improved fit to steam port and added flared deflector to drip tray cap** A steam diverter for the Anova Precision Oven... After finding a few deficiencies with the stock drip tray for the Anova Precision Oven, I created this version to suit my specific concerns. Perhaps not for all, but I found the stock drip tray to be: 1) too shallow given its width; this became problematic when the APO was placed on even a slightly tilted surface 2) not large enough to protect delicate surfaces from the released steam 3) allowed steam to be released too close to the APO, transferring heat on to the oven's door and water tank. Many have reported cracking of the water tank due to the proximity of the APO's steam release to the tank. So to accommodate some of these issues, I created this version which overcomes or ameliorates these issues with these features: A) the **drip tray has been made deeper while its width has been greatly reduced** (issue 1) B) the **drip tray now extends past the front face** of the oven (issues 2 & 3) C) a **cover has been designed to trap and transport the steam away from the front** face of the oven (issue 3) Consider this just the first of several versions, as yet the displacement of the steam away form the oven's front is minimal and still allows for condensation onto the APO's front surfaces. For starters I can imagine a version that emits the steam via a narrower opening that favors steam release away from the problematic water tank or perhaps a lid that seals altogether aside form a more focused exit port or snorkel. At some point it may make more sense to simply design in a cooling surface for the steam to more efficiently condense upon and drip back into the tray rather than venting it away altogether from the APO. Of course this is happening even with the existing stock tray and differs only by a matter of degree. So consider this an incremental upgrade and not a complete solution to the issue of the APO's release of steam. **Note: By my measure the capacity of this drip tray is approximately 83% of the stock drip tray**
