Steam Dock

Steam Dock

thingiverse

A simple dock for the Steam Deck. Nothing fancy, but it works with the real thing, so there's that. Comes in two versions which keep the deck at a different angle: The 15 degree version keeps the Deck more level making have a smaller footprint. The 25 degree version makes it easier to look at the display when it's set on a desk somewhere. The picture shows the 25 degree version. Can be printed as is, no support needed. The Alibre CAD file makes customizing the viewing angle pretty easy, just open the equation editor and change the `block_angle_raw` value to whatever you want. The rest of the dock should resize accordingly, but it may break at extreme angles. v2 has an extension of the back to give a little more support and prevent the deck from tipping over. I noticed that at higher angles with a bunch of heavy periphery attached to the top, the center of gravity ended up too high and too far towards the back. This made tipping over much more likely which, for very obvious reasons, is highly annoying. Extra legs its it. Edit: Saw people mentioning online that this is just a flex. It's not, this is actually a pretty functional print for dev work with the Steam Deck. I created this dock because I was actually needing one.
