EDIT: Having gotten some sleep and now reviewing this with fresh eyes, I realize I still need to do something about that huge overhang directly over the 'whistling wedges'----whatever they're called in musical terms. I will, but later.... Today is my mom's birthday and I have to be elsewhere. Though I think she wants me to print one of these for her.... :D _____________________________________ With Halloween, Mom's birthday, and NaNoWriMo all happening within three days of each other------definitely have been working myself too hard. ....WHAT HAVE I FINALLY DONE??!! xD xD xD It all began with the little idea to print this whistle upright, since I've been printing several different whistles lately and it seems always best to orient the model so that the sound-producing part faces upright and level with the extruder nozzle.... Then, when that caused problems with Cura's automatic support-generation at other parts of the model, I tried to 3D-model my own. But, Cura didn't like my custom conical supports, so I had to think of something else------vintage-y filigree that you're not even supposed to remove! :D In theory this could work; inspect the model for yourself. But I haven't decided whether I'm going to print this version of MikeP-NZ's train-whistle myself or not. I'm way too tired to be making these important decisions...... ~_______~
