Steampunk Puzzle Box

The renders were done quickly as I ran out of time, I didn’t get the custom bump maps done that would have the designs on the outside and inside with the cardinal points for the compass, But I think it is not hard to see how it would lay out just imagine fancy engraving throughout. And my materials selection was limited to as I like to make custom (aged) materials .... but another day.... Picture one is closed and you can see one of the two buttons that slide around in the slots to open the box. Overall size is about that of a baseball. Picture two is after it opens to reveal the the inner box that is opened by turning the compass arrow to the right direction. Picture three shows the fully opened box with the needle floating freely to point north.
