This tab allows you to convert your Stearns personal flotation device from an automatic deploy to a manual deploy PFD. I recently purchased two of these life vest online and both of them did not come with the manual override tab. After a failed exhaustive search online for this part I decided to just make it myself. This tab was created for the Stearns model 1493 Auto-Manual PFD. I don't know if it will work for other Stearn models.
