I modeled this to a 1:1 scale from the cross-section drawings I had to dig for. Very interesting in the history behind this tunnel. The tunnel goes from Long Island to Grand Central Terminal. At first, I really wanted to make the full tunnel from LI to Penn Station but I cannot find any information on the topography for it sadly. It is made for the M7 trains on the Long Island Rail Road so not every train will fit. That is also true when you scale it down to N, HO, G, O, S, Whatever you scale it to. Not every model train will fit. Of course, you can scale it but it won't be exactly prototypical. (If that is how you are.) This is the Horseshoe section of the tunnel but I want to model the cast iron tube section next as under the east river they have 2 types of designs that I did not know.
