<p>I use a Losmandy AZ8 Alt/Az mount for visual observing and when not using the slow motion controls on the mount I found I didn't like to push on the telescope itself when star hopping.&nbsp;</p><p>Stellarvue for some time made a handle (MH002) for their own Alt/Az mount but it attached in a proprietary way and would not work with the AZ8 without getting some holes machined and tapped into it.</p><p>Since the AZ8 is a dual scope mount and I'm only using one scope, I decided to make an adapter that would allow me to attach the handle to my adapter which would then be inserted into the extra telescope mount of the AZ8. &nbsp;This would allow me to use the handle to move the scope around, instead of pushing directly on the scope to star hop, without having to modify the AZ8 mount.</p><p>Design created in Autodesk Fusion 360 Personal</p>
