Falafel Maker

When making falafels, it helps the cooking process to have all the falafel patties the same size. This model is a mould to shape the falafel patties to the same size. The handle and base have a screw thread to connect to each other. Note that the two screw threads chosen for the base and handle are set to slightly misalign. The logic for the mismatched thread is to ensure that when the handle and base are screwed together, they lock, forming a secure join. Assembling the falafel maker is quick and simple. Start by mounting the shroud over the base and passing the handle through the shroud and into the screw hole of the base. See photos for final assembly. Disassembly is simply the reverse process to assembly. Washing instructions: - Disassemble first. - Wash in warm soapy water. - Do not immerse in very hot water or place the parts in a dish washer. The high temperatures will cause the plastic parts to permanently warp. This falafel maker can be used for other similar shaped mouldings, e.g. small beef burgers. The mould makes a pattie with a diameter of 60mm and 15mm thick. Now, get creative! My print is made in PETG 1.75mm filament, with 0.2mm layer height on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer. I chose a 30% infill density for some rigidity and use 3DFillies Orange filament. I hope you can find this print useful, too.
