Step Ladder Foot

Step Ladder Foot

thingiverse

I noticed that the metal from my small step ladder had worn through the rubber feet. Hence the floor protection from the feet was no longer there. Rather than hunting for the right size and shape in the hardware store or via an online shop (and days or weeks for delivery!) I decided to design a replacement set of feet for 3D printing. The design is simple enough. The step ladder foot diameter is approximately 25mm. The foot wall thickness was 2mm, but I decided to go with a 3mm wall thickness. The original foot was a type of rubber. This 3D printed part would need to be flexible, too. So, I used a PLA Flex filament, but any TPU filament or similar would suffice. The parts cost less than 20 cents each and I printed the 4 I needed in about two hours. A satisfying result. My print is made with PLA FLEX 1.75mm 3Dfillies white filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 100% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer. No printing rafts nor supports required. I hope you can find this print useful, too. Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
