If you’re a pinball streamer or thinking about streaming a Stern machine with an LCD display, there is a way to take the display’s output directly into your laptop for a clean feed out to your audience. All of that is well documented in this Buffalo Pinball article: https://buffalopinball.com/twitch/direct-capture-video-stern-pinball-machines-twitch-streaming/ The ‘mod’ here is simply an alternate (and much more flexible) way to mount the required PCB to the backplane in your machine’s backbox. Items needed:

3D printed board mount
(4) #4-40 x ¾” socket-head cap screw (equivalent to M3 x 20mm)
(4) #4 lockwashers
(4) #4 flatwashers
(4) #4-40 nuts
1.18″ (30mm) magnetic tape (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HS3GX74/)
Instructions:

Install the bolts from the bottom of the mount (with a lockwasher under the head). Refer to the cut-section image to the left for reference.
Mount the board directly to the plastic of the mount, then hold in place with flatwashers and nuts (refer to photo to the left).
Cut a piece of magnetic tape to stick to the back of the mount. This will make it EASY to slide the board around to find a ‘comfortable’ spot on the backplane to make sure no cables are stretch too tightly.
