Stoeger M3000 Improved Recoil Pad

Stoeger M3000 Improved Recoil Pad

thingiverse

This replaces the crappy stock recoil pad/buttplate on a Stoeger M3000, which is basically just a solid chunk of rubber and doesn't provide any cushioning. This recoil pad is inspired by the general design of the stock pad, but removes much of the material, allowing it to be a lot more comfortable. The base plate can be printed in anything. I used standard black PLA. The cushion needs to be printed in Ninjaflex or similar "rubber" PLA. I had a few false starts printing with it, and needed to use printing speed 12 and hotend temp 218. I also used a shell thickness of 0.8 and only 5% infill, which seems functionally ok, but left some holes in the shell. If I print it again, I'd probably use a shell thickness of 1.2 and 10-15% infill. https://github.com/chrisspen/recoil_pad_stoeger
